CLEOPATRA, an epic four-hour miniseries starring Timothy Dalton as Julius Caesar, Billy Zane as Marc Antony, and newcomer Leonor Varela (pictured) as Cleopatra, Queen of the Nile, will air SUNDAY, MAY 23 and MONDAY, MAY 24 (9-11 pm, ET) on the ABC Television Network. The miniseries, a sweeping, romantic saga of passionate love, ambition and betrayal, begins with the 20-year-old queen's fervent sensual and political alliance with the most powerful man in the world, Julius Caesar. She survives his assassination and finds compassion in the arms of one of his generals, Marc Antony. But his defeat in the battles to save Egypt from being overtaken by Rome leads her to ultimately plot her own death to outwit her enemies
